ZOM is a fictional project about the morphogenesis of computing machines that hijacks the anthropocentric conception and imagination of technology.
Historical and archetypal forms are borrowed from furniture and computer components, and are reproduced approximately while sliding from one form to another their materials and textures. They are arranged, almost amalgamated, in a chaotic or even grotesque way around an automatic arm that comes to life in a choreography without purpose.
The relation between the forms, the materials and the function of the elements of a machine usually governed by the needs of the human uses, seems here to be of a very different nature.
These materials and forms that make up the corpus of ZOM are encountered differently at each new installation time. These different variations of the installation can give the impression that a being is vainly trying to take shape. And it is the very possibility of a body of the machine and its evolution that is questioned.

ZOM est un projet de fiction sur la morphogénèse des machines informatiques qui détourne la conception et l’imaginaire anthropocentrés des technologies.
Des formes historiques et archétypales sont empruntées au mobilier et aux composants informatiques, et sont reproduites approximativement tout en faisant glisser d’une forme à l’autre leurs matières et leurs textures. Elles sont agencées, presque amalgamées, de façon chaotique voire grotesque autour d’un bras automatique qui s’anime dans une chorégraphie sans but.
La relation entre les formes, les matières et la fonction des éléments d’une machine habituellement régie par les besoins des usages humains, semble ici être d’une tout autre nature.
Ces matières et ces formes qui composent le corpus de ZOM se rencontrent différemment à chaque nouveau temps d’installation. Ces différentes variations de l'installation peuvent donner l’impression qu’un être cherche vainement à prendre forme. Et c’est la possibilité même d’un corps de la machine et de son évolution qui est questionnée.
