I look at my webcam on the top of my screen, and I really wonder what it sees. I go from technical images to technical images, from their origins in optics to the computer vision of artificial intelligences, passing through those of a certain experimental cinema. In doing so, I question their autonomy, the relationship they have with human realities and the knowledge of a non-human world. While I am reporting on my reflections in "visio", the camera that is filming me starts to drift in the frame of my image, to zoom in and out; then to move itself in such a way that my presence seems completely fortuitous.

Je regarde ma webcam posée sur le haut de mon écran, et je me demande vraiment ce qu’elle voit. Je chemine alors d’images techniques en images techniques, depuis leurs origines en optique jusqu’à la vision par ordinateur des intelligences artificielles, en passant par celles d’un certain cinéma expérimental. Se faisant, je m’interroge sur leur autonomie, le rapport qu’elles entretiennent avec les réalités humaines et la connaissance d’un monde non humain. Tandis que je rends compte en “visio” de mes réflexions, la caméra qui me filme commence à dériver dans le cadre de mon image, à zoomer et dézoomer ; puis à bouger elle-même de façon à ce que ma présence semble tout à fait fortuite.
